VO2 Rise – Privacy policy
Last updated 27 October 2026. Developer: Jakub Brezovsky (8x8Race).
What the watch app stores
Your 8-week plan progress, your VO2max history, the app's own VO2max estimates, the workout history and your settings (language, where you run) are stored only on your watch. Deleting the app or the history on the watch removes them.
What goes to your Garmin account
When you finish a workout it is saved as an activity (time, distance, heart rate, laps and the chart fields of the app) to your Garmin account like any other activity, under Garmin's own privacy policy. The app reads your profile VO2max, heart-rate zones and position (GPS) from the watch only to compute targets and record the run. It also reads your Body Battery history from the watch (sensor history permission) to offer a lighter workout when it is low and to show it on the start screen; it never leaves the watch.
No network access
The app has no network permission. It cannot send anything anywhere: no data leaves your watch except the activity that Garmin Connect syncs itself.
What we never collect
- No accounts, name, e-mail, location or Garmin account data.
- No tracking, analytics or advertising.
